Was it the tone of the film, or the language? Both, maybe?
a little bit of both
they interviewed what seemed to be the most awkward people they could find. And like, nooo. The documentary was supposed to take you into the world of asexuality for understanding. Not make you an observer. They aren’t “the other”.
it did teach a lot— they had some useful information.
but there were too many times where it felt like the target audience was people who already have an opinion on this community and poke fun at it.
So basically it was like watching Big Bang theory.
